Originally from the Netherlands, Chislaine travelled to New Zealand on a working holiday visa in 2013 and never left. Although she has lived across Europe and Asia, New Zealand is now the place she calls home.
Chislaine has a BSc in Environmental Science (Marine and Coastal conservation) and a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. She has worked in marine conservation and research, education, pet nutrition, animal rescue, animal rehabilitation and veterinary nursing. Chislaine has always had a huge passion for animal welfare, rescue and education.
Chislaine lives with her partner Steve and their ex-pound pup Ranger, ex-stray cat Izzy and six rescue chooks. In her spare time, she loves exploring the beautiful outdoors and you will often find her on top of a mountain with Ranger the adventure dog.
